Introducing the Life Changing Doc…
I grew up in South Florida. When I was twelve years old I started walking about a mile to a shopping plaza every weekend. In the plaza there was a small health food store. I would spend hours reading their books and magazines to learn about Natural Health. I would sample products and use my babysitting money to buy the ones that I felt would be more energizing and healing.
When I chose my course of study of Biology at New College Honors College, I continued to study the botany and biochemistry of natural medicines.
Hungry to explore the rich biology of the rainforest, I designed a self-study semester and summer in Central and South America and learned about natural medicine both in the field and in the culture.
The next year, I set out to collect samples of Cat’s Claw vine on a second trip to the deep forest of cloud forest of Peru. Suffering from a rash I had later learned was due to the toxic chemicals in insect repellent, I met a curandera, a natural healer.
She spoke only the native indigenous language but called me down from my room
and anointed me with healing herbs.
This not only healed my skin and deeply shifted my soul, but it also connected me in my soul to the rich tradition of the curanderos. I knew that this was a legacy I was now forever a part of.
Shortly thereafter, I made a career turn into medicine. Specifically Osteopathic Medicine, a tradition that honors the body while spearheading true medical science and advancement.
In days of marketing and gimmicks, I felt called to create my own line of supplements to honor the purity and integrity of the medicine God created. I honor both my lineages, that of the curanderos and that of the Osteopathic Physicians that came before me.
